1. O(s) autor(es) que pretender(em) enviar o(s) seu(s) trabalho(s) científico(s) para publicação na Revista Eletrônica de Direito do Centro Universitário Newton Paiva deverá(ão) observar os procedimentos necessários para submissão e as normas de publicação abaixo estabelecidas, sob pena de serem devolvidos ao(s) autor(es).
2. A Revista Eletrônica de Direito do Centro Universitário Newton Paiva destina-se à publicação de artigos científicos inéditos e originais na área jurídica.
3. Os artigos somente poderão ser subscritos por, no máximo, 3 (três) autores, possuindo pelo menos um deles a titulação de doutor.
4. O(s) autor(es) ao submeter(em) artigos à Revista Eletrônica de Direito do Centro Universitário Newton Paiva declaram para todos os fins de direito, que conhecem todas as normas de publicação do periódico, estando de acordo com todos os seus termos, e assumindo a total responsabilidade pelos conceitos, opiniões e informações contidas nos trabalhos científicos submetidos.
5. A Revista apresenta-se como um relevante mecanismo de difusão da pesquisa científica e do estudo crítico e aplicado do Direito junto à comunidade acadêmica, bem como, de fomento à produção intelectual, possuindo como temática central: Estado Democrático de Direito e Solução de Conflitos.
6. Serão aceitos pela Revista Eletrônica de Direito do Centro Universitário Newton Paiva artigos científicos em Português, Espanhol, Francês, Inglês e Italiano.
7. O processo de avaliação dos artigos submetidos pelo(s) autor(es) é realizado pelo Editor Responsável, pelo Conselho Editorial e, ainda, pelo Conselho de Pareceristas, por meio do sistema “Double Blind Peer Review”, que poderão devolvê-los ao(s) autor(es) para providenciar(em) eventuais alterações indicadas nos artigos.
7.1. A seleção dos artigos científicos submetidos ao periódico para publicação é de competência do Editor Responsável e do Conselho Editorial da Revista.
7.1.1. O Editor Responsável procederá a uma avaliação prévia dos artigos científicos enviados pelos autores, com a finalidade de realizar uma análise da adequação dos trabalhos submetidos à temática editorial e as normas metodológicas da Revista.
7.1.2. Encontrando-se a submissão realizada em conformidade com os requisitos formais estabelecidos no periódico, os artigos são encaminhados ao Conselho de Pareceristas, e, eventualmente, a pareceristas ad hoc, para exame das contribuições, por meio do sistema de dupla avaliação às cegas (double blind peer review), e, em seguida para emitirem parecer por sua aceitação, rejeição ou modificação.
7.2. Os artigos submetidos para fins do processo de avaliação da Revista Eletrônica de Direito do Centro Universitário Newton deverão ser enviados sem qualquer indicação de autoria ou forma de identificação. Para tanto, o nome, a titulação acadêmica, o vínculo institucional e o endereço de e-mail dos autores devem constar exclusiva e necessariamente de uma folha de rosto (folha de identificação) a ser enviada no momento da submissão, mantendo-se, assim, o sigilo da avaliação dos trabalhos enviados.
7.2.1. Durante todo o processo de avaliação mantém-se o anonimato do(s) autor(es) e dos pareceristas.
7.2.2. Para fins de garantia de anonimato, os trabalhos deverão, ainda, ser enviados acompanhados de uma folha de rosto (folha de identificação).
7.3. Os documentos submetidos à Revista devem ser enviados por meio de 2 (dois) arquivos eletrônicos separados e nominados de acordo com o título do trabalho, atendendo aos critérios específicos da publicação:
7.3.1. Um arquivo representativo do artigo científico, conforme as diretrizes de submissão abaixo indicadas, no qual não deve ser incluído nenhum tipo de identificação do(s) autor(es).
7.3.1.1. O(s) autor(es) deverão antes do processo de submissão dos artigos, remover das propriedades do documento (arquivo), todos os dados de identificação do(s) autor(es) do artigo, procedendo assim a retirada completa de todas as informações pessoais do arquivo. Nesse sentido, devem observar que sejam apagadas as identificações de autoria do arquivo do word, para fins de garantia do sigilo da avaliação às cegas (Sistema Double Blind Peer Review).
7.3.1.2. Para tanto, em documentos do Microsoft Office, a identificação dos autores deve ser removida das propriedades do documento (no menu Arquivo > Propriedades), iniciando em Arquivo, no menu principal, e clicando na sequência: Arquivo > Salvar como… > Ferramentas (ou Opções no Mac) > Opções de segurança… > Remover informações pessoais do arquivo ao salvar > OK > Salvar.
7.3.2. Um arquivo representativo de uma folha de rosto (folha de identificação) do trabalho científico enviado, contendo o título do artigo, o(s) nome(s) completo(s) do(s) autor(es), titulação acadêmica, cargo/profissão, afiliação institucional, Cidade, Estado, País, área de interesse, endereço completo do(s) autor(es) para fins de contato e cadastramento, e-mail e telefone.
8. Os artigos submetidos ao processo de avaliação da Revista deverão conter na primeira lauda da contribuição:
8.1. O Título do artigo, no idioma do texto, preferencialmente, em português, grafado em caixa alta, com fonte “Times New Roman”, tamanho 14, negrito e centralizado.
8.2. O(s) autor(es) poderá(ão) utilizar subtítulo, que deverá ser seguido do título, deste separado por dois pontos e grafado em negrito, minúsculo, no idioma do texto e centralizado.
8.3. O Título do artigo e, caso haja, do Subtítulo, em língua estrangeira (inglês, espanhol, francês ou italiano), com a mesma formatação do original.
8.4. O resumo do texto, em português e em língua estrangeira (inglês, espanhol, francês ou italiano), com no mínimo 100 e no máximo 200 palavras, com fonte “Times New Roman”, tamanho 10, corpo do texto com espaçamento simples entre linhas e sem recuo de parágrafo.
8.5. Palavras-Chave, em português e em língua estrangeira (inglês, espanhol, francês ou italiano), com no mínimo três e no máximo cinco palavras, com fonte “Times New Roman”, tamanho 10, organizadas em ordem alfabética crescente, e separadas entre si por ponto e vírgula.
9. Os artigos deverão observar a seguinte estrutura:
a. título em português e em outro idioma; b. resumo e palavras-chave no idioma do texto; c. resumo e palavras-chave em outro idioma; c. introdução; d. desenvolvimento (indicado em seções numeradas); e. conclusão; f. referências.
9.1. Os títulos/subtítulos das seções devem estar separados do texto antecedente pelo espaço simples de duas linhas, e do próprio texto a que se referem pelo espaço simples de duas linhas, e devem obedecer à seguinte formatação:
a) Seção Primária: Caixa alta, fonte “Times New Roman”, tamanho 12, negrito; b) Seção Secundária: Caixa baixa, fonte “Times New Roman”, tamanho 12, negrito; c) Seção Terciária: Caixa baixa, fonte “Times New Roman”, tamanho 12, negrito, itálico; d) Seção quaternária: Caixa baixa, fonte “Times New Roman”, tamanho 12, sem negrito; e) Os títulos dos capítulos, seções e subseções devem ser digitados alinhados à margem esquerda observando-se numeração sequencial, em números arábicos, sem parágrafos, separados por um espaço de caractere. f) Entre os títulos de capítulos, seções e subseções e o texto e entre o texto que o antecede, deve-se observar 2 (dois) espaços de 1,5. g) As referências não são numeradas.
10. A formatação dos artigos submetidos deverá observar a seguinte forma de apresentação:
10.1. A contribuição dos autores deverá ter no mínimo 15 (quinze) e no máximo 30 (trinta) laudas.
10.2. Os arquivos da contribuição deverão ser enviados em formato Microsoft Word, formato .doc ou docx.
10.3. Os artigos deverão ser formatados em folha tamanho A4 (210mmx297mm) e com alinhamento do corpo do texto justificado.
10.4. Largura da margem esquerda e superior 3 cm; largura da margem direita e inferior de 2 cm.
10.5. Texto digitado em fonte Times New Roman, espaço entrelinhas de 1,5, fonte tamanho 12 para o corpo do texto, e fonte tamanho 10 para as notas de rodapé e citações com mais de 3 (três) linhas, com espaço entrelinhas de 1,0 (espaço simples), justificado.
10.6. Os artigos deverão utilizar itálico em vez de sublinhado ou negrito para fins de destaque em seu corpo.
10.7. Parágrafos com recuo de 1,25 cm e sem espaçamento entre eles;
11. As citações a serem realizadas nos artigos deverão observar as seguintes diretrizes:
11.1. Devem ser observadas as normas vigentes da ABNT, optando-se, exclusivamente, por adotar o modelo de indicação das citações por meio do sistema numérico (notas de rodapé).
11.2. Citações diretas com até 3 (três) linhas deverão ser inseridas no texto, colocadas entre aspas duplas, e, sem alteração do tipo de letra, devendo seguir o seguinte critério: Sobrenome do autor (caixa alta), nome do autor, título da obra ou do periódico em itálico, volume, edição, local da publicação, editora, data de publicação (ano) e número da página (se houver).
11.3. Citações diretas com mais de 3 (três) linhas deverão constituir um parágrafo independente, recuadas a 4,0 cm da margem esquerda, com fonte tamanho 10, sem aspas, com espaçamento simples de 1,0 cm, com 1 (um) espaço de 1,5 entre os textos.
11.4. As citações indiretas deverão vir sem aspas, devendo seguir o seguinte critério: Sobrenome do autor (caixa alta), nome do autor, título da obra ou do periódico em itálico, volume, edição, local da publicação, editora, data de publicação (ano) e, sendo opcional a indicação da página.
11.5. Na hipótese de citação de citação poderá ser utilizada a expressão apud (citado por) no texto, sendo que nas referências deverá constar a indicação completa do documento consultado.
11.6. No que se refere a ocorrência de indicação de citações idênticas, deve-se repetir as citações ou referências tantas vezes quantas forem necessárias no texto científico, evitando-se, assim, a utilização das expressões Ibid, Idem, Ibdem, op cit.
11.7. Quanto à utilização de citações em outro idioma, deve-se proceder a tradução das citações no corpo do texto, inserindo-se a versão original em notas de rodapé.
11.8. As notas explicativas deverão ser inseridas em notas de rodapé sequenciadas, fonte tamanho 10, justificado, com espaço entrelinhas de 1,0.
11.9. Todas as obras citadas nos artigos submetidos deverão ser indicadas nas referências.
12. Referências não numeradas, em ordem alfabética, independentemente do suporte físico, com alinhamento justificado, em espaço simples e espaço duplo entre as mesmas, utilizando-se o recurso tipográfico itálico para destaque do elemento título das obras e de periódicos.
12.1. Todas as Referências deverão obedecer às normas vigentes da Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas (ABNT), observando-se para as entradas das obras (livros), o seguinte critério: Sobrenome do autor, nome do autor, título da obra em itálico, volume, edição, local da publicação, editora, data de publicação (ano).
12.2. Para a entrada de periódicos deve-se observar o seguinte critério: Sobrenome do autor, nome do autor, título do artigo, título do periódico em itálico, local da publicação, numeração correspondente ao volume e/ou ano, fascículo ou número, página inicial e final, data de publicação.
13. A submissão de trabalho(s) científico(s) original(is) pelo(s) autor(es), na qualidade de titular(es) do direito de autor do(s) texto(s) enviado(s) ao periódico, nos termos da Lei 9.610/98, implica na cessão de direitos autorais de publicação impressa e/ou digital à Revista Eletrônica de Direito do Centro Universitário Newton Paiva, do(s) artigo(s) aprovado(s) para fins da publicação, em um único número da Revista, autorizando-se, ainda, que o(s) trabalho(s) científico(s) aprovado(s) seja(m) divulgado(s) gratuitamente, sem qualquer tipo de ressarcimento a título de direitos autorais, por meio do site da Revista, para fins de leitura, impressão e/ou download do arquivo do texto, a partir da data de aceitação para fins de publicação.
13.1. O(s) autor(es) ao procederem a submissão do(s) artigo(s) à Revista, e, por conseguinte, a cessão gratuita dos direitos autorais relacionados ao trabalho científico enviado, têm plena ciência de que não serão remunerados pela publicação do(s) artigo(s) no periódico.
13.2. O(s) autor(es) dos artigos publicados pela Revista Eletrônica de Direito do Centro Universitário Newton Paiva poderão, após a publicação dos mesmos, disponibilizar os seus respectivos trabalhos a outras publicações, desde que, indiquem ou façam menção expressa a este periódico.
13.3. O(s) autor (s) reconhece(m), ainda, que a Revista encontra-se licenciada sob uma Licença Creative Commons Atribuição-NãoComercial-SemDerivações (Proibição de Realização de Obras Derivadas) 3.0 Brasil, para fins de difusão do conhecimento científico, conforme indicado no sítio da publicação.
13.4. A Revista tem por finalidade servir de instrumento de promoção e difusão do conhecimento científico, oferecendo acesso livre imediato ao seu conteúdo, seguindo o princípio de que disponibilizar gratuitamente o conhecimento científico ao público proporciona maior democratização mundial do conhecimento.
14. A Revista Eletrônica de Direito do Centro Universitário Newton Paiva adota o fluxo contínuo para submissão de artigos científicos, os quais deverão ser enviados ao Editor Responsável, por meio do endereço eletrônico de email do periódico (revistadodireito@newtonpaiva.br).
15. A Revista reserva-se ao direito de não publicar textos aprovados, imediatamente, considerando-se o número de artigos da publicação por volume, bem como, a relação de exogenia e endogenia do periódico.
16. São aceitos textos científicos em todas as áreas do Direito desde que alinhadas a temática editorial da Revista.
17. No que pertine a política de privacidade da Revista, os nomes e endereços informados neste periódico serão usados, exclusivamente, para os serviços prestados por esta publicação, não sendo disponibilizados para outras finalidades ou a terceiros.
18. As contribuições apresentadas à Revista Eletrônica de Direito do Centro Universitário Newton Paiva são submetidas ao sistema de avaliação “Double Blind Peer Review”, realizada por membros do Conselho de Pareceristas e, eventualmente, por pareceristas ad hoc, os quais não serão identificados, para fins de análise dos artigos enviados sem a identificação do(s) autor(es), garantindo-se o sigilo e a idoneidade no processo de avaliação, tanto para o(s) autor(es) quanto para os avaliadores.
18.1. Os artigos enviados a Revista são submetidos a uma análise preliminar realizada pelo Editor Responsável. A referida avaliação tem por finalidade verificar os aspectos formais da publicação, tais como, a compatibilidade do artigo científico submetido com a temática editorial do periódico, elementos metodológicos, dentre outros.
18.2. Após concluída a análise prévia, os artigos que atendam aos critérios formais exigidos da Revista, são enviados, sem qualquer tipo de identificação, a 2(dois) pareceristas para fins de emissão de parecer fundamentado pela aceitação, rejeição ou modificação do manuscrito, conforme formulário próprio da Revista.
18.3. Na hipótese de um parecerista produzir parecer pela aceitação e outro pela rejeição de um mesmo artigo, este será remetido a um terceiro avaliador, a fim de que emita parecer conclusivo pela aceitação ou rejeição do referido trabalho.
18.4. Caso o artigo seja aceito com alterações recomendadas pelos pareceristas, os quais não serão identificados, o(s) autor(es) é (são) cientificado(s), para providenciar(em) as modificações indicadas pelo(s) parecerista(s) ou motivar a desnecessidade das alterações sugeridas, as quais serão ou não encaminhadas, a critério do Editor Responsável, para nova avaliação dos pareceristas no intuito de avaliar as alterações e emissão de parecer pela aceitação ou rejeição do artigo submetido.
18.5. A Revista se reserva o direito de não publicar o artigo submetido, no caso de o(s) autor(es) discordar(em) da avaliação dos pareceristas e o Editor Responsável manter o posicionamento acolhido pelo pareceristas.
18.6. Os textos rejeitados são enviados/devolvidos a(os) autor(es), acompanhados dos respectivos pareceres, sem a identificação dos pareceristas.
18.7. Os artigos de autor(es) convidado(s) não são submetidos ao procedimento de avaliação.
19. Após a finalização do Processo de Avaliação pelo sistema Double Blind Peer Review, o Editor Responsável e o Conselho Editorial decidem quais os textos submetidos à Revista Eletrônica de Direito do Centro Universitário Newton, dentre aqueles com 2 (dois) pareceres recomendando a publicação, serão publicados nos próximos números da Revista, observando-se para a definição do número da Revista, a necessidade de equilíbrio entre as temáticas das contribuições e o percentual de exogenia e endogenia estabelecido pelas normas de qualificação relativas ao Periódico.
19.1. O tempo médio para conclusão do Processo de Avaliação é de aproximadamente 6 (seis) meses, incluindo-se, a reavaliação das contribuições.
20. O Editor Responsável e o Conselho Editorial da Revista são soberanos quanto ao aceite dos artigos submetidos e reservam-se o direito de recusar aqueles cujas solicitações dos pareceristas não forem devidamente atendidas dentro do prazo concedido para as adequações.

PUBLICATION STANDARDS
.
1. The author (s) who intends to submit his / her scientific work (s) for publication in the Electronic Law Journal of the Newton Paiva University Centre must observe the necessary procedures for submission and the publication rules set out below, under penalty of being returned to the author (s).
2. The Electronic Law Journal of the Newton Paiva University Centre is intended for the publication of new and original scientific articles in the legal field.
3. Papers should be submitted by a maximum of three authors, one of whom should hold a doctor’s degree.
4. The author (s), when submitting articles to the Electronic Law Journal of the Newton Paiva University Centre, declare for all legal purposes that they know all the publication rules of the journal, agreeing with all terms, and assuming full responsibility for the concepts, opinions and information contained in the scientific papers submitted.
5. The Journal presents itself as an important mechanism for the dissemination of scientific research and the critical and applied study of Law among the academic community, as well as for the promotion of intellectual production, having as its central theme: Democratic State of Law and Conflict Resolution.
6. Scientific articles in Portuguese, Spanish, French, English and Italian will be accepted by the Electronic Law Journal of the Newton Paiva University Centre.
7. The process of evaluating the articles submitted by the author (s) is carried out by the Responsible Editor, by the Editorial Board and also by the Board of Referees, through the “Double Blind Peer Review” system, which may be returnedto the author (s) to arrange for any changes indicated in the articles.
7.1. The selection of scientific articles submitted to the journal for publication is the responsibility of the Responsible Editor and the Editorial Board of the Journal.
7.1.1. The Responsible Editor will carry out a prior evaluation of the scientific articles sent by the authors, in order to carry out an analysis of the adequacy of the paper submitted to the editorial theme and the journal’s methodological standards.
7.1.2. Once the submission is made in accordance with the formal requirements established in the journal, the articles are sent to the Council of Referees, and, eventually, to ad hoc reviewers, for examination of the contributions, through the double blind evaluation system , and then to issue an opinion for its acceptance, rejection or modification.
7.2. The articles submitted for the purposes of the evaluation process of the Electronic Law Journal of the Newton Paiva University Centre must be sent without any indication of authorship or form of identification. To this end, the name, academic title, institutional link and e-mail address of the authors must appear exclusively and necessarily on a cover sheet (identification sheet) to be sent at the time of submission, thus maintaining the confidentiality of the evaluation of submitted papers
7.2.1. Throughout the evaluation process, the anonymity of the author (s) and referees is preserved.
7.2.2. For the purpose of guaranteeing anonymity, the papers must also be sent with a cover sheet (identification sheet).
7.3. Documents submitted to the Journal must be sent through 2 (two) separate electronic files and named according to the title of the paper, meeting the specific criteria of the publication:
7.3.1. A representative file of the scientific article, according to the submission guidelines indicated below, in which no type of identification of the author (s) should be included.
7.3.1.1. The author (s) must, before submitting the articles, remove from the document (file) properties, all the identification data of the author (s) of the article, thus proceeding the complete removal of all personal file information. In this sense, they should observe that the authorship identifications of the word file are deleted, for the purpose of guaranteeing the confidentiality of the blind evaluation (Double Blind Peer Review System).
7.3.1.2. Therefore, in Microsoft Office documents, the authors’ identification must be removed from the document’s properties (in File> Properties menu), starting with File, in the main menu, and clicking on the sequence: File> Save as …> Tools (or Mac Options)> Security Options …> Remove personal information from the file when saving> OK> Save.
7.3.2. A representative file of a cover sheet (identification sheet) of the scientific work sent, containing the title of the article, the full name (s) of the author (s), academic title, position / profession, institutional affiliation, City, State, Country, area of interest, full address of the author (s) for contact and registration purposes, e-mail and telephone.
8. Articles submitted to the journal’s evaluation process must contain in the first contribution page:
8.1. The title of the article, in the language of the text, preferably in Portuguese, spelled in capital letters, with a font “Times New Roman”, size 14, bold and centralized.
8.2. The author (s) may use a subtitle, which must be followed by the title, separated by colons and written in bold, lowercase, in the language of the text and centralized.
8.3. The Title of the article and, if any, of the Subtitle, in a foreign language (English, Spanish, French or Italian), with the same formatting as the original.
8.4. The abstract of the text, in Portuguese and in a foreign language (English, Spanish, French or Italian), with a minimum of 100 and a maximum of 200 words, with “Times New Roman” font, size 10, body text with single line spacing and without paragraph indentation.
8.5. Keywords, in Portuguese and in a foreign language (English, Spanish, French or Italian), with a minimum of three and a maximum of five words, with font “Times New Roman”, size 10, organized in ascending alphabetical order, and separated between itself by semicolon.
9. Articles must observe the following structure:
a) title in Portuguese and in another language;
b) abstract and keywords in the language of the text;
c) abstract and keywords in another language;
d) introduction;
e) development (indicated in numbered sections);
f) conclusion;
g) references.
9.1. The titles / subtitles of the sections must be separated from the preceding text by the single space of two lines, and from the text to which they refer by the single space of two lines, and must obey the following formatting:
a) Primary section: Upper case, font “Times New Roman”, size 12, bold;
b) Secondary Section: Lower case, font “Times New Roman”, size 12, bold;
c) Tertiary section: Lower case, font “Times New Roman”, size 12, bold, italic;
d) Quaternary section: Lower case, font “Times New Roman”, size 12, without boldface;
e) The titles of the chapters, sections and subsections should be typed in line with the left margin, observing sequential numbering, in Arabic numbers, without paragraphs, separated by a character space.
f) Between the titles of chapters, sections and subsections and the text and between the text that precedes it, two (1.5) spaces of 1.5 must be observed.
g) References are not numbered.
10. The format of the submitted articles must observe the following presentation:
10.1. Authors’ contributions must have a minimum of 15 (fifteen) and a maximum of 30 (thirty) pages.
10.2. The contribution files must be sent in Microsoft Word, .doc or docx format.
10.3. Articles must be formatted on A4 size paper (210mmx297mm) and with justified text body alignment.
10.4. Left and top margin width 3 cm; width of the right and bottom margin of 2 cm.
10.5. Text typed in Times New Roman font, space between 1.5 lines, font size 12 for the body of the text, and font size 10 for footnotes and quotes with more than 3 (three) lines, with space between 1, 0 (single space), justified.
10.6. Articles should use italics instead of underlining or bolding for purposes of highlighting their body.
10.7. Paragraphs with 1.25 cm indentation and without spacing between them;
11. The citations to be made in the articles must observe the following guidelines:
11.1. The current rules of ABNT must be observed, choosing, exclusively, to adopt the model of indication of citations through numerical system (footnotes).
11.2.Direct citations with up to 3 (three) lines must be inserted in the text, placed in double quotation marks, and, without changing the font type, observing the following criteria: surname of the author (spelled in capital letters), name of the author, title of the work or title of the periodical in italics, volume, edition, place of publication, publisher, date of publication (year), and page number (if there is).
11.3. Direct quotes with more than 3 (three) lines should constitute an independent paragraph, indented at 4.0 cm from the left margin, with font size 10, without quotation marks, with simple spacing of 1.0 cm, with 1 (one) space. 1.5 between texts.
11.4. Indirect citations must come without quotes, observing the following criteria: surname of the author (spelled in capital letters), name of the author, title of the work or title of the periodical in italics, volume, edition, place of publication, publisher, date of publication (year), and the page is optional.
11.5. In the case of citation, the expression apud (quoted by) in the text may be used, and the references must contain the full indication of the document consulted.
11.6. Regarding the occurrence of indication of identical citations, the citations or references must be repeated as many times as necessary in the scientific text, thus avoiding the use of the expressions Ibid, Idem, Ibdem, op cit.
11.7. Regarding the use of citations in another language, the citations must be translated in the body of the text, inserting the original version in footnotes.
11.8. Explanatory notes should be inserted in sequenced footnotes, font size 10, justified, with space between the lines of 1.0.
11.9. All works cited in the submitted articles must be indicated in the references.
12. Unnumbered references, in alphabetical order, regardless of physical support, with justified alignment, in single space and double space between them, using the italic typographic resource to highlight the title element of the works and periodicals.
12.1. All References must comply with the current rules of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT), observing the following criteria for the entries of the works (books): surname of the author, name of the author, title of the work in italics, volume, edition, place of publication, publisher, date of publication (year).
12.2. For the entry of journals, the following criteria must be observed: Last name of the author, name of the author, title of the article, title of the periodical in italics, place of publication, numbering corresponding to the volume and / or year, issue or number, home page and final, date of publication.
13. The submission of original scientific work (s) by the author (s), as the copyright holder (s) of the text (s) sent to the periodical, under the terms of Law 9.610 / 98, implies the assignment of copyright of printed and/or digital publication to the Electronic Law Journal of the Newton Paiva University Centre, of the article (s) approved for the purposes of publication, in a single issue of the Journal, also authorizing that the approved scientific work (s) be disclosed free of charge, without any kind of reimbursement as rights copyright, through the magazine’s website, for the purposes of reading, printing and/or downloading the text file, from the date of acceptance for publication purposes.
13.1. The author (s) when submitting the article (s) to the Journal, and, therefore, the free assignment of copyrights related to the scientific work sent, are fully aware that they will not be paid for the publication of the article (s) in the journal.
13.2. The author (s) of the articles published by the Electronic Law Journal of the Newton Paiva University Centre may, after publication, make their respective papers available to other publications, provided that they indicate or mention this journal.
13.3. The author (s) further acknowledge that the Journal is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives License (Prohibition on Performing Derivative Works) 3.0 Brazil, for the purpose of disseminating scientific knowledge, as indicated on the publication website.
13.4. The purpose of the journal is to serve as an instrument for the promotion and dissemination of scientific knowledge, offering immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge available to the public free of charge provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.
14. The Electronic Law Journal of the Newton Paiva University Centre adopts the continuous flow for submission of scientific articles, which must be sent to the Responsible Editor, through the journal’s electronic email address (revistadodireito@newtonpaiva.br).
15. The Journal reserves the right not to publish approved texts, immediately, considering the number of articles in the publication by volume, as well as the exogenous and endogenous relationship of the journal.
16. Scientific texts are accepted in all areas of law as long as they are aligned with the journal’s editorial theme.
17. Regarding the journal’s privacy policy, the names and addresses informed in this journal will be used exclusively for the services provided by this publication, and will not be made available for other purposes or to third parties.
18. Contributions submitted to the Electronic Law Journal of the Newton Paiva University Centre are submitted to the “Double Blind Peer Review” evaluation system, carried out by members of the Council of Referees and, eventually, by ad hoc reviewers, who will not be identified, for the purpose of analyzing the articles sent without identifying the author (s), ensuring confidentiality and suitability in the evaluation process, both for the author (s) and for the evaluators.
18.1. The articles sent to the Journal are submitted to a preliminary analysis carried out by the Responsible Editor. The purpose of this assessment is to verify the formal aspects of the publication, such as the compatibility of the scientific article submitted with the journal’s editorial theme, methodological elements, among others.
18.2. After the preliminary analysis is completed, the articles that meet the formal criteria required by the Journal are sent, without any type of identification, to 2 (two) reviewers for the purpose of issuing an opinion based on the acceptance, rejection or modification of the manuscript, according to the form of the magazine.
18.3. In the event that a reviewer produces an opinion for acceptance and another for the rejection of the same article, it will be sent to a third reviewer, in order to issue a conclusive opinion for the acceptance or rejection of the referred work.
18.4. If the article is accepted with amendments recommended by the referees, who will not be identified, the author (s) is (are) scientific (s), to provide (in) the changes indicated by the referee (s) or motivate the needlessness of the suggested changes, which will or will not be sent, at the discretion of the Responsible Editor, for a new evaluation by the reviewers in order to evaluate the changes and issue an opinion for the acceptance or rejection of the submitted article.
18.5. The Journal reserves the right not to publish the submitted article, in case the author (s) disagree (s) with the evaluation of the referees and the Responsible Editor maintains the position accepted by the referees.
18.6. The rejected texts are sent / returned to the author (s), accompanied by the respective opinions, without identifying the referees.
18.7. The articles of the invited author (s) are not submitted to the evaluation procedure.
19. After finalizing the Evaluation Process by the Double Blind Peer Review system, the Responsible Editor and the Editorial Council decide which texts are submitted to the Electronic Law Journal of the Newton Paiva University Centre, among those with 2 (two) opinions recommending publication, will be published in the next issues of the Journal, observing the need for a balance between the themes of contributions and the percentage of exogeny and endogeny established by the qualification rules related to the Journal to define the number of the Journal.
19.1. The average time to complete the Evaluation Process is approximately 6 (six) months, including the revaluation of contributions.
20. The Responsible Editor and the Editorial Board of the Law Journal are sovereign regarding the acceptance of the submitted articles and reserve the right to refuse those whose requests from the referees are not properly met within the period granted for the adjustments.
