RESUMEN: Las dinámicas medioambientales han sido una constante en crecimiento durantes las últimas décadas a escala global. Tradicionalmente, tales dinamicas han sido vistas desde tres dimensiones. La primera entendida con una visión económica y de desarrollo, la segunda enfocada en la sociedad y, finalmente, la tercera orientada al ambiente y la conservación natural. Sin embargo, dentro del análisis de tales dinámicas, ha incursionado un concepto determinante al momento de entender la dinámica del ser humano y el ambiente, denominado “resiliencia”. El valor del concepto supone la aplicación de criterios socio-ambientales, los que resulta apropiado para entender cómo reaccionan los ecosistemas frente a los cambios y su forma de adaptarse a tales cambios; esto con el fin de hallar y soluciones a la problemática de la dicotomía entre desarrollo y conservación.
